Here are some quick fire tips that Abi hopes you will find useful

Abigail Brown, MD of has been recruiting for 20 years and during this time, has handled a myriad of questions or concerns from both sides of the fence - the applicant and the employer who is hiring.

1 Always have your CV reviewed by someone you trust, it's much more likely they will spot any mistakes. 2 Ensure your CV or job advert has the relevant contact details to ensure swift follow up! 3 Ask questions - be consistent and show a genuine interest (on both sides!)

4 Be thorough in your interview - ask about successes and failures - why decisions were made - it will inspire confidence that they are joining a professional firm who values the importance of getting to know YOU, not just what your CV says about you! 5 Always take the time to re-evaluate what you need if someone leaves; don't rush the process as this will end up costing more in lost time and productivity!
