Adam Clark (Ooba's MD), has over 20 years experience in marketing, tech and start-up. Before setting up his own marketing agency in 2001 (Active Marketing), he was part of the team that helped launch Technology For Marketing Show and worked on Marketing & Graphic Design projects with businesses such as Ebay, Yellow Pages and Lucent Technologies (now Avaya)
In 2004, Active did all the Athens Olympics graphic design and print for Mizuno and ran the UK Yu-Gi-Oh account - as well as a host of smaller clients.
In 2012, now as Ooba Creative, Adam played a role (as part of a larger digital agency collaboration) in launching the first of Cancer Research UK's "Dryathlon" events which won some nice awards for the lead agency (Manifesto).
In 2013 Adam co-founded ConnectTVT - an organisation to bring tech and start-ups together in the Thames Valley with a mission to put Reading back on the Tech Map. We also set up GROW@GreenPark - a start-up/tech hub in Reading - where Adam was a mentor, presenter and one of the start-up advisors - creating events such as the Festival of Digital Disruption and Thames Valley Tech Week as well as holding marketing seminars. Adam also hosted and compèred regular monthly events such as Google Developers, BigData and Start-up Grind.
As such, he is still an active part of the Reading tech community and Ooba Creative sponsors local tech events such as Breaking Borders.
Adam has run branding, creative and marketing workshops for the NHS, BP, Mizuno and local number of smaller, local clients as well as working with Young Enterprise - i.e. going into local schools to help with Marketing, Tech and Entrepreneurship.
